Beware that some novelty shaped chocolate are made from candy melts.  They taste similar to chocolate but are far from the real thing.  So before your purchase, make sure that the favors you are buying are 100% pure chocolate.

One thing to remember is that most chocolate favors have a shelf life of at least a year.  And shipping is far less expensive during the cooler late fall, winter and early spring months when most items can ship via ground service from UPS or FedEx.  So don’t hesitate to order ahead; just keep them stored in a cool environment (to not exceed 70 degrees F.)
