At Diva Entertains we cater to women’s events and one of our favorites is hosting a shoe themed bridal shower. In addition to the High Heel Favors that we offer, we have tons of ideas and suggestions about decorating – even on what to serve for dessert!
Let’s talk decor. Most likely the guest of honor has a favor shoe color (or two) – you’ll want to incorporate those colors into your decorations which can include: table settings (think table runners, napkins, plates, and utensils), flowers, balloons, streamers, candles, and such. If the shower includes a sit-down meal you can assign seating using our gorgeous shoe place card holders they come in a large assortment of colors:
There are several directions you can go in with regard to centerpieces. We often make the dessert, a shoe cake, the focal point of our events. If you want to get ideas for shoe cakes – just go to google.com/images and type in “shoe cake” and then just sit back and enjoy all the amazing possibilities. For example:
Print out several of the cakes that you love and then bring the pictures to your bakery to see if they can recreate it (unless you happen to be lucky enough to live near the bakers highlighted above!
We also fell in love with these cupcakes featured in the book, Cupcakes, Cookies & Pie, Oh, My! By Karen Tack and Alan Richardson. And they are actually quite fun to make. There are several steps to making them but even a beginner can tackle them!
